Simply put, baptism is an outward display and celebration of your inward decision to trust Jesus Christ with your eternity. It's an act of obedience, a step of acknowledgement that is representative of the fact that Jesus died on the cross, was buried and walked out of the grave, alive, so each of us can have eternal life.
When you step into the water, you are letting the world know that you have walked into a new life of faith in Jesus Christ and that you are committing to follow Him down a new path. If you've made the decision to follow Jesus, baptism is the next step in your spiritual journey
The next baptism Sunday will be on August 30, 2020!

COMMON QUESTIONS ON BAPTISM:
What is the meaning of water baptism?
As you are immersed in water, you bury your old sinful nature. When you come out of the water, you experience the new life and resurrection in Jesus.
(Colossians 2:12, Romans 6:4)
Who should be baptized?
Once you have committed yourself to Jesus Christ and acknowledge Him as Lord by turning away from sin and trusting Him, you are ready for water baptism.
(Acts 2:41; 8:12-13)
Why should I be baptized?
To follow the example set by Christ. (Mark 1:9) Because Christ commanded it. (Matthew 28:19-20) It demonstrates that you really are a believer. (1 John 2:3)
Can my child or infant be baptized?
At Cross Mountain, we wait until our children are old enough to believe and understand the true meaning of baptism before we baptize them. When a child makes a decision to follow Christ, we will gladly baptize them.
Why do we baptize by submersion?
The word “baptize” means to “dip under water.” Because Jesus was baptized that way. (Matthew 3:16) Every biblical baptism was by immersion. (Acts 8:38-39)
